Spending time outside, in nature, is more important now than ever
Friends,
Your health and well-being have always been in the core of our mission’s work at Hill Country Conservancy. Our efforts to preserve open spaces across the Hill Country and provide access to nature via the Violet Crown Trail result in clean water, fresh air, and places to commune with nature to ensure the health and well-being of our community now and forever. We encourage you, as you are able, to spend time outside. Walk around your neighborhood, breathe the fresh air, appreciate the sounds of birds, and watch the buds appearing on many trees.
With an abundance of caution, the Hill Country Conservancy team is adopting measures to help curb the spread of the virus by cancelling upcoming public events and providing a work from home option for our staff. Although we are cancelling our upcoming Walk &Talks on the Violet Crown Trail and Birding & Nature Hikes at Nalle Bunny Run Wildlife Preserve, we will provide virtual hikes in the coming weeks. If you are not already following Hill Country Conservancy on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, now is a great time to join our virtual family.
We promise to fill our social media feed with beautiful images of nature, photos of wildlife, pictures of the ranches you have helped preserve, and videos of hikes on the Violet Crown Trail. These are photos of the impact of your past gifts. Your past support of Hill Country Conservancy has helped to preserve vital natural resources that, now more than ever, are essential to our health and well-being.
We hope these images and videos will help provide moments of peace and contentment during these turbulent times. When you spend time outside, take a walk, or sit on your porch to breathe fresh air, please take a photo and tag Hill Country Conservancy so we can all enjoy the view.
I sincerely wish you and your family good health, and please accept my heartfelt thanks for your continued support. Thank you!
Onward,

George Cofer
Chief Executive Officer
