EPIC Rock Climbing with Austin Ascents
October 24, 2020 @ 8:00 am – October 25, 2020 @ 12:00 pm
We’re offering two limited-capacity sessions, based on your climbing experience. Both sessions are 8:00am-12:00pm at Reimers Ranch.
Saturday, October 24 – Beginner
This is the session for you if: you have no climbing experience, or very limited indoor or outdoor experience and you have no gear or limited gear.
What you’ll learn: how to tie a figure 8 knot, how to top rope belay, movement skills on rock
Sunday, October 25 – Intermediate
This is the session for you if: you know how to belay a top rope and you have your own gear (harness, shoes, helmet, belay device).
What you’ll learn: belay with different devices, climb harder climbs, weighted and unweighted belay transfer skills
