EPIC Sunset Bat Paddle

On warm summer nights in Austin, hundreds of people gather to see the world’s largest urban bat colony emerge from under the Congress Avenue bridge, but the best seats in the house are in small watercraft on the river. Join Hill Country Conservancy‘s Emerging Professionals in Conservation for a relaxing sunset paddling tour along Lady Bird Lake by kayak or canoe to see the bats.

Details:

We will depart from the Texas River School (located on the north shore of the Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail directly across from Austin High School) and paddle together to the bridge. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a sunset/moonlight paddle as we head back to the dock. No boat? No problem. We’ll manage the boat rental logistics for you, just select the appropriate ticket to let us know if you need one.

This event is open to members and non-members alike, but EPIC members are FREE! A fee applies for any boat rental.
