Oboz Trail Experience Hike with HCC at the 290 Trailhead

Hit the Violet Crown Trail with Hill Country Conservancy staff to rack up some more Oboz Trail Experience: Austin miles. We’ll meet at the 290 Trailhead of the Violet Crown Trail and together we’ll complete the 3.57-mile out-and back Violet Crown Trail: 360 Trailhead to 290 Trailhead segment!
This section of the Violet Crown Trail starts in the Gaines Creek Greenbelt before joining up with the Barton Creek Greenbelt. The trail is single track and has some areas of rocky terrain and elevation changes (total ascent 854 feet). This segment is a fun challenge to complete, but not recommended for small children or strollers.

This Experience is designed for you to re-discover your favorite trails, learn about new or lesser-known trails, push your limits, and recreate locally! You’ll also have the chance to compete against local legends, your peers, or yourself if that’s more your style. The Experience is open to walkers, hikers, runners, and ADA mobility devices.
