Virtual Birding and Nature Hike at Nalle Bunny Run
January 22 @ 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm
Join Hill Country Conservancy for the first Virtual Birding + Nature Hike of 2021! Since April 2020, Hill Country Conservancy and Master Naturalist Mikael Behrens have worked together to capture some remarkable footage of the plants and animals found each month on Nalle Bunny Run Wildlife Preserve.
On this virtual nature hike, Hill Country Conservancy will take you on a tour of Nalle Bunny Run Wildlife Preserve with the guidance of Mikael Behrens, Hill Country Conservancy volunteer and Nalle Bunny Run Wildlife Docent.
Stream live with us and you will have the opportunity to chat with Mikael and ask him any birding or nature questions that arise! This virtual hike will offer a glimpse at an environmental treasure on the banks of the Colorado River, and provide insight into the important work of Hill Country Conservancy. Turn your sound on as we listen to the calls of birds and explore calming wildlife on the preserve.
ABOUT NALLE BUNNY RUN WILDLIFE PRESERVE
The 35-acre Nalle Bunny Run Wildlife Preserve is not only an environmental treasure, but an important habitat restoration project situated on the banks of the Colorado River. The preserve was donated to Hill Country Conservancy in December 2000 by the Nalle Family who wished for years to preserve the beloved “Bunny Run” for the public to enjoy. The conservation management of this preserved Lake Austin waterfront and proximity to Austin make the Nalle Bunny Run Wildlife Preserve a visual and environmental masterpiece.
