Please note the addition of Addendum #2, which adds in the MBE WBE procurement program to the bid package, list of goals, and available contractors from SMBR.
The invitation for bids is for the construction of the Violet Crown Trailhead at Zilker Park. The OWNER is Hill Country Conservancy. The work generally consists of a hike and bike trail, rain garden, and multiple steel structures; namely observation deck, mile zero steel structure, and pavilion.
Bids should be emailed to bids@hillcountryconservancy.org by no later than 2pm CDT on October 28, 2024. Any proposals received after the closing time will be rejected.
An in-person, mandatory pre-bid conference was held on September 26, 2024 from 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM CDT at the southwest corner of William Barton Dr & Columbus Dr (jobsite location), Austin, TX.
An addendum will be issued if OWNER deems that the Contract Documents require correction or clarification. No proposals shall be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the opening of the bids. the OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids that do not conform to bid package requirements and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding.
Workers on Project shall be paid not less than wage rates, including fringe benefits, as published by the Department of Labor (DOL) for Building Construction and Heavy and Highway Trades "AS APPLICABLE" and/or the minimum wage required by City of Austin Ordinance No. 20160324-015, whichever is higher.
